]]>You have to apply for the MSN AdCenter Beta Program.
I actually tooks a shot and signed on a couple weeks ago and today received an MSN AdCenter Invitation.
None of my ads are approved yet and I’ll have to edit this post later with a more thorough review.
At first glance I prefer the Adwords aministration setup but then again that’s the one I’m used to. Adwords has a nicer set of keyword suggestion tools. MSN AdCenter is not setup yet to be administered through the Firefox browser. You have to use I.E. There is also a non-refundable $5 charge if you are accepted and sign-up.
If you get in early, it ?might? be possible to find some high traffic keywords that have not been bid up yet. I’ll be looking for some of those. ![]()
Have you received an invitation into the MSN Adcenter Beta Program? I’d like to here your thoughts.

These are the average costs PER CLICK for the top position in the Google adwords advertising system. If you are using Adsense on your website, these would be some of the keywords that would pay you the most (note that the CPC listed below is what advertisers are paying Google Adwords and not the amount they will pay you for Adsense clicks. Nevertheless I’m sure it’s a HUGE CPC you get paid through Adsense.

]]>Do you need some clever ideas or did you want to read other mischievous April Fools Jokes?
Philipp Lenssen of blog.outer-court.com has setup a parody search engine at GoogleAprilFools.com just for that (it is unrelated to the real Google )!
Google April Fools - Search everything related to April Fool’s Day!
And check out this MSN Search Spoof April Fools page
It parody tool by MSN that uses fake (but hilariously accurate) search results to gently mock friends, bosses, or people who just need to be teased.
MSN is far to easy to easy to game and if they want to work on increasing their search engine user base they better step up work on their SEO spam filters. You won’t find the same type of extreme SEO spam for a single keyword on Google.
Would you keep using a search engine that has results as horrible as this, this and this!?
This guy not only dominates for the “spyware” keyword using a mixture of subdomains on MSN but many other variations of the spyware keyword as well.
Look at the results for the single keyword “loans.” in MSN search. Four of the top ten results are remotely hosted blogs on blogspot.com They are likely the same person. I can’t imagine the kind of money he is making from those positions. Granted MSN does not get near the kind of use as Google does, if you have a number 1 position for a keyword such as “loans” you are making a killing wether it’s Google, Yahoo, or on MSN!
Have your own examples of shocking search engine results on MSN?
Post them here.
Your specific ads ranking in the Adwords PPC system is not based soley on your max bid amount but instead on many different “relevancy factors.”
…Each keyword is assigned a Quality Score, which is determined by the keyword’s clickthrough rate (CTR), relevance of ad text, historical keyword performance, and other relevancy factors.
In this post I am going to talk about using creative Adwords ad titles and descriptions in an effort to increase your CTR on the ad.
Instead of using the same old boring ads like everyone else is using such as (“Keyword” = Product or Service Name):

If you don’t have the funds to bid into the top 1 to 3 spots and already are getting a high CTR you are going to have to try something a little different otherwise your Google Adwords ads are going to simply blend in with the rest.
How is your ad going to stand-out?!
People act on emotion. Does your ad percieve you as the authority on the subject? Does is cause fear about them making the wrong decision? Does it use humor to draw in their curiousity? There are lots of different ways to make your ads stand-out but it important that they DO.
Here are some more creative ideas that may increase your Google Adwords CTR (keyword = your keyword choice):

]]>Google Base is a place to submit all types of online and offline content that [google] will host and make searchable online. You can describe any item you post with attributes, which will help people find it when they search Google Base. In fact, based on the relevance of your items, they may also be included in the main Google search index & other Google products like Froogle, Google Base and Google Local.
Google Base is only integrated into the search results for certain keywords at the moment. It shows Google Base integrated when I do a search for “Orlando Homes. It does not show up for just “Homes.” Another example: When I do a search for “cars” on Google, this is what I see (I added the big black arrow):

Clicking “Search Vehicles” will jump you on over to the Google Base results. It also shows up for cars names.
It looks like it might be a good time to start learning about optimizing Google Base listings.
]]>Generally the keyword rankings will appear about the same with some minor fluctuations but during an occasional major Google update (often called a “Google Dance”) the Data Centers may show vastly different results.
During those types of major Google updates it’s nice to be able to check you rankings across the various Google Data Centers. Of course, this means that Google is in the middle of an update so these rankings will often shuffle (don’t panick or get to excited) and it usually takes days for things to settle. Lastly, Google now days uses a continuously updating index time schedule for ranking updates so usually there are more minor shifts that occur more often (less full-blown major shuffles).
Google’s search Data Centers use over 60+ different IP Addresses (here are some of them):
